Grace Porter - Lab Manager

Grace joined the lab in spring of 2020 and served as Lab Manager until summer of 2022. She received her Bachelors of Arts at the University of North Carolina, where she majored in psychology and history, with a minor in French. Grace has previously conducted research evaluating the developmental trajectory of children diagnosed with neurogenetic disorders, as well as the influence of cognitive interventions on memory and learning outcomes in school-aged children. Through her past experiences, Grace has gained an interest in the neurodevelopmental underpinnings of learning and behavior in children and adolescents, and factors that influence creativity and reasoning. She is looking forward to utilizing various neuroimaging techniques to investigate these relationships, and how they appear in the brain. Outside of the lab, Grace is a big UNC sports fan and enjoys reading, playing soccer, and exploring markets and coffee shops.
