Emma Smith - Master's Student

Emma joined the lab in the Fall of 2024 as a rotating master's student in the IPN MS in Integrative Neuroscience Program. She graduated from Penn State with a BS in Business Management with minors in psychology and economics. After spending some time running her own business, she returned to undergraduate education as a non-degree seeking student taking pre-med courses at the University of Minnesota. She is hoping to attend medical school after completing her Master's program and has interests in neurology and emergency medicine. She is particularly interested in brain plasticity, effect of memory on perception, and impact of learning research on increasing patient buy-in to treatment programs in the hospital and out-patient setting. She is mainly focused on the neurofeedback and tFUS studies.
