Participate

We are currently recruiting for a two-part study. Please see below for further information and email cnglab@georgetown.edu to participate! We look forward to hearing from you.

Individual and collective reasoning

We are studying how groups of people complete a collection of reasoning and problem solving tasks. You will be asked to complete tasks both individually and in a three-person team. The information gained from this study will help us better understand how groups of people solve complex problems.

Participation involves completing an online questionnaire (1 hour - you can complete this at home) and then coming to Georgetown University campus for 2.5 hours to complete a series of surveys and activities.

You can be paid in cash at a rate of $10/hour, or in SONA credit for eligible classes.

To be eligible for this study, you must:

  1. be age 18-35

  2. be fluent and literate in English

  3. have no history of brain damage or psychological disorder

  4. have no history of psychoactive drug use

  5. be right handed

SONA

Georgetown students can sign up for studies happening on campus via the SONA system. For eligible classes, they can receive extra credit for participation in a study.

Researchmatch

Anybody interested in participating in research can sign up for Researchmatch. In this system, researchers from approved institutions with approved research protocols can contact you via email to participate. You decide whether you are interested in a particular study and indicate it within the portal. If you are interested, your contact information is released to the study team, and they are in touch about participation.

If you are interested in participating in future studies, please contact cnglab@georgetown.edu to make arrangements.

We will also have more studies running soon, related to creativity, so please check back!
