Individual Differences in Causal Perception

Two hours of activities with a research assistant investigating your causal perception, pattern recognition, and cognitive ability. You will also be asked to fill out some surveys about worldview and/or belief structure, and general demographic information. You can be reimbursed via Amazon giftcard at a rate o $10/hour, or via SONA credit for eligible classes.

To be eligible for this study, you must:

(1) be age 18-25

(2) be fluent and literate in English

(3) have no history of brain damage or psychological disorder

(4) have no history of psychoactive drug use

Analogies, Patterns, and Creativity
You'll come into the lab two times for 90-minute sessions of verbal, written, and computer tasks designed to investigate your creativity, linguistic and cognitive abilities, decision-making, and analogical reasoning. You can be paid in cash at a rate of $10/hour, or in SONA credit for eligible classes.

To be eligible for this study, you must:

(1) be age 18-35

(2) be fluent and literate in English

(3) have no history of brain damage or psychological disorder

(4) have no history of psychoactive drug use

(5) be right handed

SONA
Georgetown students can sign up for studies happening on campus via the SONA system. For eligible classes, they can receive extra credit for participation in a study. 

Researchmatch
Anybody interested in participating in research can sign up for Researchmatch. In this system, researchers from approved institutions with approved research protocols can contact you via email to participate. You decide whether you are interested in a particular study and indicate it within the portal. If you are interested, your contact information is released to the study team, and they are in touch about participation.
