Madeline Williams – Graduate Assistant
Madeline joined the lab in the Fall of 2021 through a research practicum in her Integrative Neuroscience Master’s program at Georgetown University. She earned her B.A. in Cognitive Science from the University of Virginia with a concentration in neuroscience. Her past experiences include using research-based principles to improve decoding in elementary-aged children and transcribing the assessment and treatment of geriatric ophthalmic patients after conducting testing with ophthalmic imaging technology. Among Madeline’s interests are learning how the brain develops the mechanisms to read, identifying effective strategies to close the gap in neurodiverse students, and finding connections between neuroscience and education that are often unseen.
