Postdoctoral Position

Georgetown Laboratory for Relational Cognition


Applications are invited for a multi-year postdoctoral position focused on conducting a grant-funded research project in the Georgetown Laboratory for Relational Cognition, directed by Adam Green ( The project will employ representational similarity analysis of fMRI data to investigate the neural representation of concepts and beliefs. The postdoc will directly oversee research assistants and graduate students who will support data collection and analysis. The project will be conducted in collaboration with laboratories at Dartmouth, Northwestern, and Arizona State. There will be ample opportunity, dependent on the post-doc’s level of interest, to engage with many other ongoing projects related to learning, reasoning, and creativity, including neuroimaging and neuromodulation-based approaches.

Applicants should hold a Ph.D. (or anticipate a Ph.D. no later than spring of 2019). Candidates with strong neuroimaging methods backgrounds and interests, and those with interests in concept and belief representation would be well-suited to this position. Favorable consideration will be given to applicants with a record of productivity and strong organizational and leadership skills.

The start date is somewhat flexible, but will be in the late summer or early fall of 2019
